XING – the right job for you App Reviews

Turns random groups into spam canons

Since I installed, every now and then a random group I am subscribed to turns to "beta" status. This means the group now appears in a "groups beta" section of the app, and you receive an e-mail notifications for every single comment in the group. For large groups this could easily render your inbox unusable. The app doesnt allow to toggle mail notifications, nor does it allow to unsubscribe from groups. All notifications via email do contain an unsubscribe link. However, the link leads to a full blown website which isnt usable on a phone.

Nothing really interesting

The app does the basic stuff, and navigation is easy, but there is really nothing "wow" worth talking about. Synchronizing contacts would be a good place to start, but there are many more things that can be done to be ahead of their main competitor whose name starts with an L The XING website is a lot better than the app. I hope they do some working on it, the product they sell is worth more than this.

Looks better

The app looks prettier now!

No match for LinkedIn

App is non-intuitive and ads/upgrade spam annoying. Only use it when I have to (e.g. when business contacts are not on LinkedIn).

Crash

app crashes all the time. Dont recommend it, though it has a better design than the previous version.
